The Mill Theatre has asked Balally Players to produce 3 or 4 five-minute plays as part of the theatre's participation in this year's Culture Night. There will be a reading and casting for these plays on Wednesday 3 September at 8 pm in St Tiernans School. The final selection will be made from the following five plays chosen for the readings:
1 - 'Broken' by Deirdre Kinahan - 2 male actors
2 - 'Between Us We Have Everything' by Karl O'Neill - 2 male or 2 female actors
3 - 'Sanctuary by Liz Quinn' - 1 male and 1 female actor
4 - 'Soul Mates' by Maeve Binchy - 1 male and 1 female actor
5 - 'Don't Take it Personally' by Rachel Fehily - 1 male and 1 female actor
The plays are very well written and provide a good opportunity to involve more members in performance pieces, particularly those who are not already involved in other shows.
